This private lodge safari works its way from the forested slopes of Mount Kenya down through the Rift Valley lakes to the Masai Mara, taking in five distinct ecosystems along the way. The opening night is spent at a tree lodge on Mount Kenya with floodlit game viewing at a waterhole and salt lick, which means the wildlife comes to you rather than the other way round.
Ol Pejeta and Sweetwaters follow, with night game drives available, then Lake Nakuru for black and white rhino, and Lake Naivasha with Hell’s Gate and an optional boat ride among hippo and over four hundred bird species. The safari finishes with three nights in the Masai Mara and two complete days of game viewing in the reserve, which is effectively the northern extension of the Serengeti. Park entrance fees, accommodation, all meals on safari, mineral water and transfers are included.
