8 Days Best of Kenya and Tanzania Combined Budget Group Safari

Venture Africa Budget Safaris representative will meet you at the airport or your hotel and after your breakfast. You will be introduced to your guide and given a full briefing regarding your safari programme. Once these final details are settled you will start your safari and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve via the viewpoint at the Great Rift Valley. You will enjoy lunch in Narok. On arrival in the park, you will proceed on a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. You will arrive for dinner and your overnight stay at the Lodge or at the Campsite.

After breakfast your guide will pick you up and proceed on a full day game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills, where the wild meets wonder. The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range encounters, and it is known as the 8th Wonder of the World and the best park to view the big cats. You will break for your picnic lunch at Hippo Pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. In the evening after the game drive your guide will drop you at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Optional early morning balloon ride can be organised at an extra cost.

After breakfast in the camp, you will have an opportunity for a cultural tour known as the Maasai village tour, done at an extra cost direct to the village. Later depart for Nairobi with lunch enroute, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport to proceed to your next destination.

After breakfast, we depart from Nairobi to Arusha with the AM shuttle bus through the Namanga border for immigration formalities, arriving in the afternoon. We will take you to The Charity Hotel or similar, booked on bed and breakfast.

After breakfast drive west on good tarmac road, across the gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. Enroute you pass many Maasai bomas and Maasai in their colourful traditional dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding their cattle and driving overloaded donkey carts. After two hours of driving you arrive at Manyara gate and proceed with a game drive. The first habitat is the groundwater forest, with water seeping from the rift valley escarpment. There are great sightings of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, blue monkeys and baboons. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

After breakfast we take a picnic lunch with us and drive west across the gently rolling Ngorongoro highlands. Enroute you pass zebra and wildebeest grazing alongside Maasai cattle with young boys tending them, and Maasai villages. Continue into the Serengeti and stop at the picnic site for your lunch. Proceed with an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti with great sightings of lions, hippos, giraffes, leopards, reedbucks and elephants. Dinner and overnight at the camp or Lodge.

After breakfast your driver will pick you up and proceed for a final game drive in the Serengeti with your lunch enroute, then continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in the evening. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the seven wonders of Africa. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

After breakfast you will be picked up by your guide and descend 2000ft into the Ngorongoro Crater, exploring and viewing animals from a depression angle until you arrive at the crater floor. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater, ascend, and drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at your Arusha hotel booked on bed and breakfast.
