7 Days Kenya Bush and Lakes Safari: Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate and Amboseli

Venture Africa Budget Safaris representative will meet you at the airport or your hotel and after your breakfast. You will be introduced to your guide and given a full briefing regarding your safari programme. Once these final details are settled you depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve via the viewpoint at the Great Rift Valley, arriving in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver guide. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

You will have a full day game drive, leaving the camp with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

Optional: an early morning balloon ride can be organised at an extra cost.

After breakfast your guide will pick you up and proceed to the Masai village for a cultural tour, at an extra cost. We then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in the afternoon, with the rest of the afternoon spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge or Hotel.

After an early breakfast, proceed into Lake Nakuru National Park, well known for the many different bird species recorded here and as a home to both the black and the white rhinoceros. The park was established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes and a variety of plains antelope. Late in the afternoon, drive to Naivasha arriving in the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay at the Lodge or Hotel.

Optional: a boat ride at Lake Naivasha and a visit to Crescent Island can be organised at an extra cost.

After an early breakfast you will be picked up and depart for Hell’s Gate for registration. Here you can cycle or enjoy a drive, as Lake Naivasha is one of the few places where you can explore on foot. Hell’s Gate National Park has attractions such as Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and obsidian formed from cooled molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs and containing two volcanic plugs, Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower, with a smaller gorge extending to the south where a path descends to hot springs. Later, with your hot lunch on the way, proceed to Amboseli National Park to arrive in the evening. You will be dropped at the Lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

A day of game drives in this park, which contains swamp grounds where elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen, and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. We cater for picnic lunches and you return to the Lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Optional: an evening nature walk with a Maasai guide, or an early morning balloon ride, can be arranged at an extra cost.

After breakfast check out at the lodge, and if weather permits you will see the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later depart Amboseli National Park for Nairobi with a picnic lunch served enroute, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon. You will be dropped at the airport for your next destination, or at your hotel.
