5 Days Amboseli, Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate Safari

Venture Africa Budget Safaris representative will meet you at the airport or your hotel and after your breakfast. You will be introduced to your guide and given a full briefing regarding your safari programme. Once these final details are settled you will start your safari to Amboseli National Park. This park is known worldwide as the home of the African elephant, the big jumbos, and many other animal species are found here. Arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge, after lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive, after which you will be dropped at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After your breakfast your guide will pick you up and proceed for a full day game drive with your picnic lunches. A full day of game viewing in this park, which contains swamp grounds where elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen, along with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak if weather conditions permit. Later in the evening you will be dropped at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will be picked up at your Lodge and depart Amboseli for Lake Naivasha with your lunch enroute, arriving in the afternoon. On arrival you visit Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, a unique opportunity to connect with nature on a walking safari among giraffes, zebras and antelopes with no large predators around. The sanctuary offers a safe and intimate experience with wild animals in their natural habitat, and makes for an adventure of a lifetime. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

After an early breakfast depart the hotel and drive to Hell’s Gate National Park. Lake Naivasha is one of the few places where you can enjoy different optional activities at an extra cost, such as cycling or walking to the gorge if the weather permits. The park has attractions including Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and obsidian formed from cooled molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs and containing two volcanic plugs, Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower, with a smaller gorge extending to the south where a path descends to hot springs. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Optional afternoon visit to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa: relax and swim in a large, naturally warm pool heated by underground steam inside Hell’s Gate.

After breakfast your guide will pick you up and depart Lake Naivasha for Nairobi. On arrival you visit the Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya, with lunch in Nairobi. Later your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport to proceed to your next destination.
