12 Days Treetops, Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli

On arrival at the airport you will be picked up and dropped at your Nairobi hotel. If time allows you can visit the Giraffe Centre. Overnight at the hotel.

Venture Africa Budget Safaris representative will meet you at your hotel after breakfast. You will be introduced to your guide and given a full briefing regarding your safari programme. Once these final details are settled you begin your journey, driving north to Nyeri for lunch at the Outspan Hotel. Special transport then takes you to the world famous Treetops, on the slopes of the Aberdare Mountains, arriving in time for tea. All night game watching from the comfort of your lodge, where animals visit the waterhole and salt lick. Dinner and overnight at Treetops.

Early morning tea at Treetops and return to the Outspan Hotel for breakfast. Continue north to Samburu Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve, noted for its reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

A full day in Samburu, a beautiful and game abundant reserve, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Morning and afternoon game drives, with an optional visit to a local Samburu village. Other optional activities include camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at the Lodge.

Breakfast, then game viewing as we exit the reserve and drive to the Mount Kenya region. Lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, then an afternoon game drive in the Sweetwaters sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Sweetwaters is the only sanctuary in Kenya for the rehabilitation of rescued chimpanzees, with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Early morning breakfast, then leave Sweetwaters for Lake Nakuru with game viewing enroute, arriving with a short game drive in time for lunch and checking in at Lake Nakuru Lodge to have lunch and relax. Later an afternoon game drive to see one of the largest ornithological spots in the country, with flamingo and a variety of wildlife, not forgetting the famous white and black rhino found in this park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Early morning breakfast, then leave Lake Nakuru for the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. Check in at the Lodge and have lunch. Afternoon game drives through the reserve in search of lion, cheetah, elephant and buffalo, with a visit to the Mara River. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

An early morning game drive, returning to camp for breakfast. After breakfast a full day is spent in the reserve with a packed lunch, in search of its well known residents including the predators and their prey, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo and the crocodiles of the Mara River. All meals and overnight at the Lodge.

After breakfast your guide will pick you up and proceed to the Masai village for a cultural visit. Later you drive on to Lake Naivasha with lunch on the way, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

After breakfast tour Hell’s Gate National Park. The park has attractions such as Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and obsidian formed from cooled molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs and containing two volcanic plugs, Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower, with a smaller gorge extending to the south where a path descends to hot springs. Afterwards proceed to Amboseli with lunch on the way, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

A day of game drives in this park, which contains swamp grounds where elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen, and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. We cater for picnic lunches, returning to overnight at the camp.

After breakfast and your final game drive, depart Amboseli for Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon and being dropped at your hotel or at the airport.
